Best divorce Realtor in Denver and Colorado
The best divorce Realtor for you is the real estate agent who stays neutral, gives both spouses the same numbers at the same time, and writes the sale the way your attorneys and the court need it. That is how REALTOR® Brian Lee Burke and the real estate agents of The Kenna Group at Keller Williams DTC work every divorce file.

Keller Williams DTC
The Kenna Group works through Keller Williams Realty DTC, LLC in Centennial. Disclosed in writing.
There is no official “best divorce Realtor” list. The best one for your house is a real estate agent who works for the sale, not for one spouse against the other: one written valuation sent to both of you, both attorneys copied, listing terms written to match your stipulation or court order, and plain-English buyout math if one of you wants to stay. Use the checklist below to compare any agent, including us.
How to choose a divorce Realtor in Colorado
Ask every real estate agent you interview these eight questions. A good divorce Realtor answers each one in writing.
- Will you stay neutral? The agent represents the sale, takes no side in the divorce, and tells both spouses the same thing.
- Do both of us get the same numbers at the same time? One written valuation with the comparable sales, sent to both spouses at once. How valuation works.
- Will you copy both attorneys? Every offer, counter and deadline goes to both sides and both attorneys, so nobody hears it second-hand.
- Can you write the listing to match our stipulation or order? List price, price-reduction rules, repair cap, who pays the mortgage until closing, and how the proceeds are held. Court-ordered sales.
- Do you know the filing rules? Once a case is filed and served, neither spouse can list, sell or borrow against the house without written consent or a court order. The agent should know that and work through your attorneys.
- Can you run the buyout and refinance numbers? If one spouse keeps the house, the agent should show the equity split and send the keeping spouse to a lender before the decree. The buyout math.
- How will you handle showings and privacy? Showings around the parenting schedule, the occupying spouse never present, and the divorce never mentioned in the marketing.
- Who is your brokerage, and what do you charge? The brokerage name and every fee in writing before either spouse signs. Ours: brokerage disclosure.

What makes someone the best divorce Realtor in Denver?
Not a slogan. Look for a real estate agent who stays neutral between both spouses, sends one valuation to both of you at the same time, copies both attorneys, writes listing terms that match your stipulation or court order, and explains the buyout and refinance math before anyone signs. Ask for proof: license history, reviews you can read, and a written brokerage disclosure.
Do both spouses have to agree on the Realtor?
In practice, yes. Both owners sign the listing agreement, and once a Colorado divorce case is filed neither spouse can sell the house without the other’s written consent or a court order. If you cannot agree, your attorneys or the court decide. We can value the house for either spouse and explain the options to both.
Are you attorneys or mediators?
No. We are real estate professionals: REALTOR® Brian Lee Burke and the real estate agents of The Kenna Group at Keller Williams DTC. We do not give legal, tax or financial advice and we do not mediate. Your attorney, mediator, tax professional and lender answer those questions; we handle the house.
How much does a divorce Realtor cost?
The written valuation (our Smart Pricing Report) is free to both spouses. On a sale, the commission is negotiable and is paid at closing from the proceeds, as on any listing; if the house does not sell, there is no fee. Every term is in writing before either of you signs.
Can you help if one of us keeps the house?
Yes. We value the house for the buyout, show the equity math, and connect the keeping spouse with a lender (Mike Oswald at Rate, or any lender you choose) to get pre-approved on the real numbers before the decree sets a refinance deadline. If either spouse buys again later, we help with that purchase too.
